MY STORY

I am a Masters educated writer and journalist, and published author of short fiction. I have been writing my whole life and have been published in various fanzines, blogs and websites over a number of years on subjects as diverse as music, pregnancy, and a wide variety of sports including football, ice hockey and roller derby.

I am an aspiring author with a number of novel-length works in progress. In 2020 I was selected for the Golden Egg Academy's highly competitive Story Foundations course where I worked with author Anneliese Avery (The Nightsilver Promise) on developing an upper middle grade fantasy novel, The Nightspun Academy.

In 2021 I was selected from thousands of appllicants for WriteMentor's Summer Mentoring programme. I worked with author Sarah Daniels on my YA sci-fi novel DEMETER and plan to begin querying this novel in the Spring of 2022.

I have had a number of short fiction publications (see front page for details) and spent over a year as a moderator on an international writer's forum. I have organised writing events both locally and online.

In 2021, I returned to sports writing to begin my own website covering pro cycling. Throughout the course of 2021 I developed a large portfolio of cycling writing and have since begun taking on freelance journalism work with a view to making this my primary career. I am passionate about the sport and am seeking to represent different angles, along with bringing engaging and entertaining content to a wide audience of fans.
